4.5-day course for Project and Team Managers
Overview
The course is designed to provide experienced (Part-)Project Managers with a working understanding of structured project management as presented in PRINCE2TM, to a level where they can use it to manage a project and pass the APMG PRINCE2TM Foundation and Practitioner Examination.
The course covers the full syllabus of the PRINCE2TM Practitioner Examination.
Delegates will be able to:
• explain how the PRINCE2TM process model fits together
• explain the context and main function of each process
• explain the main ideas underlying each component
• explain the uses of each component
• use the techniques described in PRINCE2TM
A major ingredient of the course is enabling delegates to understand PRINCE2TM in order to take, and hopefully pass, the Practitioner examination. However, we will also help to see how delegates can deploy PRINCE2TM in their project for its benefit.
Course Style
The course consists of a three-day classroom event, a 1-day workshop and half a day for the practitioner exam.
The three-day classroom event blends formal presentation with practical exercises. You should plan to undertake 1 hour private study in each of the course evenings, to complete the assigned tasks for the following day. This part ends with the Foundation Exam on the afternoon of the third day.
After successful completion of this part follows a study break of one week. During this time participants will be expected to undertake distance learning using material we provide.
A week later the practitioner preparation day takes place. Again, this will be followed by a study break which will end one week later with the practitioner exam.
